Final Letters

When Your Sponsored Child Graduates

It is both a happy and sad time when your Compassion child graduates. 2 of mine graduated this month and even though I've only known both of them for barely a year, I have enjoyed getting to know both of these amazing kids!

To Karen Vanessa in El Salvador -  I hope you know that wherever you go, God has a plan for your life and I am here in Canada praying for you! I have enjoyed your letters and your drawings. I want to encourage you to keep fighting to stay in school and study something that you find interesting!

To Rumario in Bolivia - you, young man, are going to be successful in accomplishing God's plan for your life. Let your fun personality shine through in whatever you do. Let Jesus be the light in you so that other people wonder what you have. I hope we can be in contact some day.

I hope you continue to grow as a strong and Godly young man. Keep your christian friends close to you as much as possible.  Find a christian man with a family in your church who you can talk to and who will pray with you. It is important to have strong christian mentors in your life.

I pray for your future wife and future family, that God will bless you and them in the years to come.

My prayer for both of you is from Colossians 1:9-12 English Standard Version (ESV)

9 And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. 11 May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
